Cradoc House

Set in picturesque Cradoc overlooking the Huon River stands the home of Jocelyn & Geoff.

A sketch of a radiating plan was presented to us as the starting point and after a thorough site analysis, sketch designs were for client review. The original concept was flipped in orientation and set out in a linear plan to allow views from all rooms and improved solar gain. This response had the advantage of reducing cut and fill by tracing the contour of the site. The result is the striking silver top ash clad arc that graces the natural setting, promising to become more integrated into the landscape as the native garden is established. A great result delivered by the builder and even more gratifying to the IDW team were the happy clients.
