Spring Beach House

Dwelling within a coastal bush block

Located on a sloping bush block in Spring Beach, this three bedroom dwelling sits seamlessly within its coastal context.

Although modest in size, the plan was designed to capture views north towards the bush and south towards the surf, while still only providing the clients with enough space they required

Taking lead from the paddock stones and gum trees surrounding it, the dwelling is clad in materials familiar to the locality, and large expanses of glass capture the surrounding trees from bush floor to skying canopy

The open-plan living spaces center around a large stone clad chimney to the east facade, but carefully placed glazed sliders allows the clients to flow between the front and rear decks.

The pitched roof form provides a large canopy to the rear terrace, and shelter to the front entrance steps.
